7 tips to grow in Pinterest to thousand views in 1 month

7 tips to grow in Pinterest from 0 to 200 thousand views in 1 month

I always had the idea of writing a travel blog in English. And knowing how difficult it is to stand out among so many already existing blogs of the most diverse qualities, I chose to use Pinterest as the main dissemination tool.

I already knew Pinterest and knew “how to get started in the right way” and this is always a great advantage. So even with a few posts still published, but applying the strategy correctly, I was able to grow from virtually 0 views to over 200,000 views in just 1 month.

And I want to share with you 7 tips that helped me in this task.

Make sure you know my profile on Pinterest: Traveling Season.

How to grow your views on Pinterest

I’m considering that you’re already familiar with Pinterest, at least as a user. If not, they have a blog with important tips on how to create your profile and start using it: How to start using Pinterest for your business.

1. Start with the basics

If your Pinterest account is still personal, the first step is to upgrade to a corporate account. In the Pinterest blog that I have already indicated above, there is a page detailing how to make this change.

The process is very fast and simple. And only in this way will you have access to Pinterest Analytics, a tool to evaluate the statistics of access and use of your content. Important: Do not forget to claim your site.

2. Take care of your Pinterest profile as you take care of your blog

This tip seems silly, but not every content creator takes care of the appearance of their profiles on social networks the same way that takes care of its own site.

Nowadays, the gateway to your blog is no longer just Google or another search tool. And the first impression he will have is not your homepage, but a post on Facebook, a tweet or pin you created.

It is very important then that you take the time to write the best texts, select the best photos and create the best pins. Remember that your Pin will have to stand out in thousands, if not millions, of other Pins with the same theme.

3. Pin is a beautiful picture, but also text

In addition to choosing a beautiful photo for your Pin, you will have the mission to write 3 texts:

And the tip here is to study SEO and the use of keywords. Remember that the user will arrive at your Pin through a search. And you will depend on your “Title” and “Description” to appear in search results. Despite Pinterest have characteristics of social networks, it should be treated as a search tool.

After that, your Pin will be in the middle of others that address the same theme. And it will be the image and the “caption in the image” that will make the user click on it. The same can be said for your boards.

4. Create 1 new Pin every day

Pinterest is a living tool. You need to be active on it for the result to appear. Do not just create the Pins and wait for it to be read and clicked, you need to get attention.

It is very important that you create content and my main tip is that you create 1 new Pin every day. And yes, you can create more than one Pin for the same post as your blog. Not only can, but should.

Another action you should take is to save pins from other profiles on your boards. That way, when someone searches for a third party Pin, it can get on your profile and see your Pins. Of course, save Pins that have the same qualities as your own.

5. Join group boards (respect the rules)

An important tip for your Pins to have views is to save them to group boards. The benefit is the same as saving third party pins on your boards. When saving your Pins in third-party boards you will gain access to the followers of this board and more likely to appear in a search.

But just be part of boards with the theme of the Pins you are creating. And respect the rules, because if you get kicked out and blocked, all your pins will be deleted from the group board.

6. Join Pinterest communities in social networks (respect the rules)

As you may have noticed, Pinterest does not treat the various profiles as competitors. In fact you end up depending on other quality content creators to be able to grow in the tool.

So my tip is that you look for communities of creators in your niche or even have the same interest as you in using Pinterest. Facebook and even WhatsApp have some groups that promote actions in which their participants share and save pins. Browse and join other creators. And, as always, respect the rules.

7. Think outside photos, create video Pins

Like I said, Pinterest is a living tool. And one of its characteristics is always to seek innovation and other means of interaction with its users. And within that idea, it is increasing the ways of creating content and the newest of them is being able to create video pins. And I’m loving it.

It is much more complex than creating an image with text, you need to study how to use editing programs, and have access to own videos or free use. However, in my experience, it’s a way to stand out in the middle of so many Pins already created.
