Peppa Pig Park at Paultons Theme Park

The Peppa Pig World is one of the attractions of Paultons Theme Park, an amusement park in Hampshire about 2 hours drive from London. The theme park has several themed areas, including Dinosaur Land, Pirate Village and, of course, Peppa Pig Park. The attraction is especially geared towards young children and offers attractions suitable for this age group.

The park is inspired by the famous British television series Peppa Pig, which tells the story of a little pig and his family. Children can have fun at themed attractions such as Peppa’s House, Grandpa Pig’s Boat, Peppa’s Playground and Peppa Pig’s Village. In addition, there are live shows, gift shops and several restaurants to complete the experience.

How to go to Peppa Pig World

The Peppa Pig World is located in a town in the south of England called Hampshire, that from London, it is possible to arrive in about 1 hour and a half by train or by car.

We decided to go by car, as we were in 4 people and it would not be worth going by train for the cost. We rented a car from Green Motion, which we really liked and it was quite cheap. The service was efficient in both withdrawal and delivery. The only drawback is that the store is a little out of the way, you can’t pick it up at the airport, but the price makes up for it, so it’s worth it.

By car, the best route is via the M27, taking exit 2 and following the signs for the park. Parking in the park is free.

But if you decide to go by train, the websites of the companies that offer the service are GWR and SouthWest Trains, where you can get all the information about timetables and prices.

If you want to hire a transfer service, there are some options on GetYourGuide, such as:

You will probably be staying in London, thinking about that we have written a guide with the best regions of London, England, to stay in a hotel or hostel.

But if you already want to see accommodation options, find the best ones on the London page on the Booking.com websites.

How to buy tickets to Peppa Pig World

We bought the ticket over the Internet about 6 months in advance, as everything evaporates in London, so we didn’t want to risk missing out on the opportunity.

The online purchase, which is done via Paultons Theme Park website, it’s very easy, but for those who live outside England, like us, tickets are not sent by mail, it is necessary to pick them up at the entrance to the park. There, just present an identification document, confirm the address and that’s it.

Then just run to hug Peppa the pig! 😀

Attractions at the Park at Peppa Pig World

And after many hugs, photos and a little gift, we went to enjoy Peppa Pig World Park.

We ended up not having much luck and the weather was not at all favourable, with rain and cold, but even so, we went there to enjoy the toys that were open and which are very cute, all aimed at children up to 6 years old. Here it is worth the warning, do not expect anything radical like at Disney or Universal parks.

Peppa Pig Park attractions are perfect for young children. There are several live shows that take place during the day, with the presence of the characters from the series. The main attractions of the park are:

It’s important to remember that some of the attractions have height restrictions, so it’s always good to check restrictions before joining the queue.

Covered playground for children in the Peppa Pig Park

By the way, another important warning and tip is that the park has a very restricted operation due to the not so favorable climatic conditions in the region. It is necessary to plan carefully, keep an eye on the weather forecast and follow the website for updates on opening and closing dates. So much so that due to the constant rains, they have a Playground in a closed place, with different activities and options depending on the age of the child.

It also serves for parents to warm up and have that coffee or hot chocolate. So, even if it’s quite hot, take a pair of socks for everyone to have fun there.

Regarding food, our tip is to pack some snacks, buy fruit and drinks at the supermarket and take them with you. There are not many options in the park, and if you go out of season, the restaurants may be closed.

Meeting with the characters  Peppa Pig and George Pig

In my opinion, the highlight of going to the park is meeting Peppa and George. Seeing the children’s eyes, especially our picurucha, when giving them a hug or even waving at them is something very special. And look how cute, as it was Christmas, the two of them were wearing their hats… 🙂

In addition to the “real” encounter, there are other attractions where you can interact with the characters.

The park is very complete to take children of all sizes, with stroller rental services, places for breastfeeding and changing, restrooms, etc. So you don’t have to worry about that.

And to close the day, we went to the souvenir shop, which is very complete and requires a lot of care, as it can make anyone go bankrupt, even more so when the little girl looks at us with that “cat in boots look” or in this case ” George’s look”. 😛

Oh! And at the end, already exiting Paultons Theme Park , we were surprised by a huge Christmas tree and a beautiful light and sound show! That’s why we love the holidays…

Celebrating Christmas in the Peppa Pig park

As we went at Christmas time, we took advantage of Christmas at Paultons Park, which is a separate event where the picuruchos visit Santa Claus’ village, his factory and receive a gift from the hands of the good old man.

As this part of the park is separate and has a scheduled time, we decided to go right at the beginning of our tour so we wouldn’t have to worry later. When we arrived, the place was very quiet and there was time to enjoy the decor natalinda, the dolls and animals along the way, and of course Santa’s helpers toy factory.

One thing that I thought was really cool was that the guides ask the name and age of the child, then when the meeting occurs, Santa Claus knows his name and plays with his age, keeping the magic of the party and making the kids open that smile.

And the day ended, it was really worth the visit. Peppa Pig Park at Paultons Theme Park is a must-see destination for families with young children who are fans of the famous pig and the gang.
